From the studio that brought us The Carnival at the End of the World, Herr Dr.Falke and Ct. Orlofsky present to you a deck of traditional playing cards with a twist. 

"For games of solitaire and the contemplation of our coming demise, Death, in his guise as Mister Buttons, approaches us upon the thin ice on which we so obliviously skate."
A first-edition prototype with cards and tuck box printed beautifully in Italy on smooth cotton cardstock with eco inks, take a waltz at the masked ball full of characters on a frozen plain, another weird and wonderful carnivalesque creation from artists Kahn & Selesnick.

“Upon the thinnest of ice, Death speaks: The spades are the tips of pikes the children of the revolution wield, the clubs are the crooks shepherds use to herd the beasts of the field. The diamonds are the squandered monies in the purses of fools and chancers, the hearts are the vain promises on the lips of lovers and dancers. And each hath a fool with nary a care, for in the end, every game is a solitaire.“
