Veering between brutal and beautiful, heavy and harmonious, we’ve been fans of Ragana since their first screamo doom offerings many moons ago. 

The two-piece forged from the DIY punk scene of Olympia, WA now find a home at dark experimental record label The Flenser for their latest LP, 'Desolation’s Flower', a record containing seven incantations of loss, rage, pain and hope. 

From the flora and fauna of the Pacific Northwest and its enduring relationship to black metal, they join the lineage of bands paying tribute and humility to nature’s power. This combined with a raw fury against the systems that continue to oppress, they present hymns of gratitude for the queer ancestors that forged the paths before, known and unknown, hope bleeding into songs ‘cascading from rage and survival into catharsis and compassion.’
